Records for market traders

Every sale,
on record.

EgoTrack turns a trader's notebook into records that hold up: who bought, who still owes you, and a receipt anyone can check.

How it works

From the notebook to a record that holds up.

A photographed notebook page, read into rows
A row with a highlighted amount and the reason underneath
A customer who owes, with a WhatsApp reminder
A receipt with a code and a QR
Branches and the people who work in them
Weekly sales and a comparison with the previous weeks
01 SCAN

Photograph a page of your sales book.

EgoTrack reads the handwriting the way traders really write: 2.5k, 33/000, a name written as a heading, a line struck through when a debt is paid.

02 CHECK

You check it. Then it counts.

Doubtful fields are highlighted with the reason in plain words. The AI only copies; plain code does every sum. Nothing is added until you confirm the page.

03 COLLECT

Know exactly who owes you.

Debts become a list of customers. Send a WhatsApp reminder in one tap. When someone pays part, the oldest debt is cleared first.

04 PROVE

A receipt anyone can check.

Each sale gets a code and a QR. Scanning it says whether the receipt is genuine and unchanged, and shows nothing else about your shop.

05 TEAM

Your people, with limits.

Add branches and staff. They sign in with a one-time code. Every sale shows who made it, where and when, and nobody can quietly rewrite history.

06 GROW

See how the business is doing.

Weekly sales, how this month compares with last, each branch on its own. Over time your checked records add up to something a lender can read.

Weekly sales

What is inside

Everything a counter needs. Nothing it does not.

Notebook in, ledger out

Years of paper pages do not have to be retyped. Photograph them and check the result row by row, on a phone or with a laptop webcam.

Reminders that get paid

One tap opens WhatsApp with the message ready.

Receipts with a code

A QR anyone can scan. Genuine, changed or removed, in one look.

Owner, manager, seller

Staff sign in with a one-time code and see only what their job needs.

Weak signal, still selling

Sales wait on the phone and send when the connection returns.

Reports that read

Weekly sales and branch comparison in plain words. Sales, not profit, because the app does not know your costs.

A saving habit

A small daily amount from real sales; EgoTrack points you to a savings provider and never holds your money.

Why you can trust the numbers

The AI copies. Code adds. You decide.

A reader that also adds things up can give a total that looks right and is wrong. So EgoTrack never lets it.

  • Every sum is worked out by ordinary code and checked against the total written at the bottom of the page.
  • Access rules sit in the database, so a shop can read only its own records.
  • Corrections keep the old value in a history the owner can read but not erase.

No outside audit yet, and we say so. What is and is not proven

1
The reader copiesEach line exactly as written, never calculated.
2
Code checksQuantity times price, row totals, the page total.
3
You confirmA page counts once, and only after you say so.

Why it exists

94.6% of 396 Lagos vendors keep a dedicated paper book. When it is disputed, it proves nothing.

International Growth Centre, Lagos baseline of 396 small vendors. It describes Lagos small firms, not all of Nigeria. EgoTrack starts with auto parts dealers in Ladipo Market.

Questions

What traders ask.

Can the AI get my numbers wrong?

It can misread handwriting. That is why every page is checked, doubtful fields come with a reason, and nothing counts until you confirm. Accuracy has not been measured on a large set of real notebooks, so treat your first pages as a check.

Does EgoTrack hold my money?

No. It records and reminds. It is not a bank or a payment service.

Who can see my records?

Only people you invite to your shop. Photos go to a private store and are removed 30 days after a page is confirmed; the rows stay. The reading service sees the photo, not your saved customer names.

Do I need a notebook to try it?

No. There is a sample page with made-up data, and you can record sales by hand.

Does it work without internet?

A first version keeps unsent sales on the phone until the connection returns. Scanning needs a connection.
